剧情：
故事围绕林肯雷德器展开，他涉嫌在小镇上谋杀六名年轻女性。由于有人发现他在受害者的尸体旁留下装着心脏的装饰盒以及有毒苹果，因此他获得了“猎手”的绰号。目前只有一具尸体被找到，因此林肯备受怀疑。重症监护室护士马克斯梅森自愿在林肯昏迷期间为他读书。随着故事的发展，尽管案件的主侦探、护士的妹妹达比奥尔布赖特反对，马克斯最终成为林肯醒来的后的全职照顾者。但马克斯与林肯及其美丽的妻子乔琳同住可能另有目的——乔琳是一位出色的雕塑家，他们刚迎来了女儿罗西。这个秘密很可能会带来最令人震惊的真相。
